STUDIO MANAGER
Growing Boutique Fitness Studio | Sudbury, MA
Full-time or Part-time • In-person • Base compensation + commission + performance incentives
Lead the business. Grow the community. Make an impact.
We're looking for a revenue-driven leader who loves developing people, building relationships, and creating exceptional member experiences. This isn't simply a role that keeps the studio running. It's an opportunity to take ownership of growth, develop a high-performing team, and help more people make fitness part of their lives.
Our growing boutique fitness studio in Sudbury is seeking a Studio Manager who can connect strategy to action: generate new business, lead membership sales, strengthen retention, and keep daily operations running smoothly. You should be as comfortable coaching a team member as you are following up with a prospective member or building a new community partnership.
What You Will Own
- Sales & revenue: Own membership and revenue goals; lead by example in personal sales, conversion, and retention; identify opportunities across memberships, retail, and applicable studio programs.
- Lead generation & follow-up: Build a consistent pipeline through proactive outreach, thoughtful follow-up, appointment management, and clear accountability for every lead.
- Grassroots marketing & community: Develop local partnerships, coordinate community events, and create weekly opportunities to introduce new people to the studio.
- Team leadership: Recruit, onboard, schedule, coach, and develop studio staff; set clear expectations, provide constructive feedback, and celebrate results.
- Member experience & retention: Create an environment where members feel known, supported, and connected; resolve concerns professionally and improve loyalty.
- Studio operations: Oversee scheduling coordination, inventory, maintenance, cleanliness, software usage, reporting, and day-to-day execution.
- Business performance: Monitor key metrics, manage approved spending and budget priorities, and partner with ownership on plans that improve studio health and profitability.
- Marketing & communication: Help execute local campaigns, referral programs, and social media activity aligned with studio priorities.
Who Will Thrive Here
- You are a confident seller who believes the best sales conversations start with curiosity, connection, and genuinely helping people.
- You take ownership of outcomes rather than simply completing tasks.
- You know how to motivate, coach, and hold people accountable while maintaining a supportive culture.
- You are organized, follow through, use data to guide decisions, and can balance big-picture growth with daily details.
- You bring positive energy, sound judgment, resilience, and a sense of humor to a fast-moving environment.
- You care about the people behind the numbers: members, prospects, teammates, and community partners.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of sales experience in fitness, wellness, retail, hospitality, or another service-driven business preferred.
- 3+ years of leadership or people-management experience required.
- Demonstrated success generating leads, managing follow-up, and meeting sales goals.
- Ability to train and coach a team in relationship-based sales and member service.
- Strong written, verbal, organizational, and computer skills; comfortable with CRM and studio management software.
- Professional, reliable, discreet with confidential information, and able to handle difficult conversations calmly.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Schedule & Work Environment
Full-time or part-time opportunities may be available based on studio needs and candidate fit. Flexible availability for mornings, evenings, and weekends is important. This is primarily an on-site position in Sudbury, Massachusetts.
The role includes standing, walking, bending, reaching, and occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Specific scheduling and essential physical duties will be discussed during hiring.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive base compensation based on experience and role scope.
- Sales commission and performance-based bonus opportunities; profit-sharing opportunities may be available based on studio policy.
- Employee discounts, flexible scheduling, and professional development opportunities.
- Health, dental, and vision insurance and paid time off, subject to position eligibility and company policy.
