About Us
Yankee Home Care is a local home care agency owned and run by a registered nurse. We help older adults live safely at home. We are small, local, and we take care of our caregivers.
Before your first visit, we introduce you to your client in person and go over the care plan with you. You won't be sent into a new home unprepared.
What You Will Do
- Help clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
- Prepare meals and help with light housekeeping
- Drive clients to appointments and help with errands and shopping
- Provide companionship and help clients enjoy their day
- Remind clients to take their medications
- Complete a short note after each visit and report any changes you notice

What You Need
Caregiving experience or certification is helpful, but not required. If you're new to professional caregiving, YHC provides paid, RN-led personal care training and competency validation before you provide personal care independently.
We welcome applicants with any of the following:
- A current CNA certification or HHA certificate
- A completed Homemaker/Personal Care training program
- One or more years of personal-care experience with a home care agency or facility
- Two or more years of private personal-care experience
- No formal caregiving experience, we'll provide the training you need to get started
You also need:
- To be dependable, patient, and kind
- To pass required background screening
- To speak and communicate effectively with clients, families and the YHC team
- To be able to perform the physical responsibilities of caregiving
- A valid driver's license, car insurance, and reliable transportation
