Job Description

Yaklin Ford is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our service department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the service experience from start to finish — acting as the liaison between customers and technicians, ensuring work is performed efficiently and customers are kept informed every step of the way. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Job Type & Schedule

  • Job Type: Full-time

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday (Saturdays only as needed)

Work Requirements:

  • Work Schedule: 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday (Saturdays only as needed)

  • Ability to Commute: Richwood, TX (Required)

  • Work Location: In person

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and assess their service needs in a professional and friendly manner

  • Write repair orders and communicate clearly with technicians about the needed work

  • Provide accurate estimates and obtain customer approvals before repairs

  • Keep customers updated on repair status and timelines

  • Review completed work with customers and answer any questions

  • Upsell recommended maintenance and repairs as appropriate

  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the service process

  • Maintain detailed and accurate service records

  • Collaborate with parts and service teams to streamline workflow

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; automotive-related training is a plus

  • 1+ years of experience in a service advisor or customer service role in the automotive industry

  • Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair processes

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple customers and tasks at once

  • Proficient with computers and dealership management systems

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
