Responsibilities:
- Use documents such as sales slips, invoices, receipts, check stubs and computer printouts to verify, allocate and post details of business transactions to subsidiary accounts in appropriate ledgers or computer files
- Complete records to trial balance
- Reconcile and balance accounts
- Compile reports to show statistics such as cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, profit and loss and other items pertinent to operation of business
- Receive cash, checks, and credit payments from guests and record the amount received
- Compute or verify accuracy of guests' bills using the dealership’s system
- Make change, cash checks, and issue receipts to guests
- Work with department managers to stay abreast of new products and services offered, their features and value, and any changes in price
- Refer guests who have additional questions (e.g., questions about their repair order) to their service advisor or other appropriate individual
- Resolve guest complaints with integrity and poise, and involve a manager or service advisor if necessary
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or the equivalent
- 2 years’ experience in accounting, automotive accounting preferred
- Minimum of one year of customer service experience
- Ability to type and utilize all functions of a computer and various operating programs
- Dealer Track experience is a plus!
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with a high level of proficiency in Excel
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Available to work a full-time five-day work week, with some flexibility with the hours adjusting based on the needs of the business
- Prepared to work extended hours, when necessary, to achieve goals
- Team oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and subsequent random drug screens
