RISK MANAGER

PRIMARY ROLE:  

Sell insurance to qualified prospects to meet their insurance needs, retain and adjust to current client insurance needs and ensure continued profitable agency growth, according to specific goals.  Hybrid office potential with frequent sales calls.

Help the long-term success of the agency by following the agency's guidelines and operational processes.  Enhance agency reputation.  Have a good personality. QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION: 

  • Producer license and/or Insurance License preferred but willing to assist the right individual to obtain license
  • Highly motivated and self-driven individual required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required 
  • College degree highly desirable 

DUTIES:

  • Actively contact prospects, schedule appointments, make sales presentations and close on new business accounts, balancing production to achieve desired mix of business
  • Maintain prospect list of clients of agency’s targeted business in agency prospect system
  • Complete applications for Account Managers to submit to appropriate markets
  • Arrange payment terms for all accounts in accordance with agency credit and collections policy
  • Cooperate in gathering information on assigned accounts for renewal marketing and handling per agency procedures. Deliver policies and/or binders on assigned accounts following agency guidelines and timeframes 
  • Attend sales seminars, company sales meetings, or educational activities needed to improve sales techniques and stay up-to-date on the latest developments in the marketplace
  • Participate in/direct any special projects at management’s request
