About Winston-Cox Waterworx

Winston-Cox Waterworx is a sister company of Winston Water Cooler, focused on waterworks and site-utilities supply; pipes, valves, hydrants, fittings, and everything it takes to keep communities flowing. Headquartered in Denton, TX, we serve contractors, municipalities, and developers who need a partner that knows the products, the projects, and the pressure of getting it right the first time.

We’re small enough to move fast, big enough to deliver, and rooted in decades of distribution experience. Around here, we don’t just move product, we move projects forward.

About the Role

The Project Operations Coordinator, Waterworks is a launchpad role designed for someone early in their career who wants to learn how a successful distribution business really works.

This position blends estimating and quoting with operational support like vendor coordination and inventory tracking. You’ll learn how to perform material takeoffs, prepare quotes, and help keep projects moving, while gaining hands-on exposure to purchasing and branch operations.

What You’ll Do (and Learn)

Through training and mentorship, you’ll develop skills to:

  • Perform material takeoffs (training provided) to identify parts, quantities, and requirements for customer projects.
  • Prepare accurate quotes by combining takeoff information with vendor pricing and availability.
  • Collaborate with vendors and manufacturers to source pricing, confirm lead times, and gather product details.
  • Support sales teams with bids, proposals, and service project pricing.
  • Track and follow up on quotes, learning how to manage opportunities from start to finish.
  • Contribute to inventory management, helping spot discrepancies and aligning stock with project needs.
  • Use ERP systems (Epicor Eclipse or similar) and Excel, with training provided, to track quotes, orders, and inventory.
  • Be part of the branch team, helping projects flow from takeoff → quote → order → delivery.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • A natural problem-solver who’s proactive about finding answers.
  • Clear communicator who can collaborate with both vendors and teammates.
  • Comfortable with technology, or at least eager to learn new systems.

Training & Development

  • Structured Onboarding: Step-by-step training in estimating, quoting, and takeoffs, no prior experience required.
  • Mentorship: Learn directly from experienced sales and operations leaders who will guide your development.
  • Career Growth: This role is a foundation for future paths in operations, purchasing, sales, or branch management.
  • Skill-Building: Gain transferable skills in quoting, vendor negotiations, and inventory management.

Why Join Us

  • Hands-On Impact: See your work directly influence project timelines and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside a team that values hustle, resourcefulness, and initiative.
  • Competitive Pay & Benefits: Strong starting salary, full benefits package, and room to grow.

If you’re looking to kickstart your career in a role where you’ll learn, contribute, and build skills that open doors in distribution and operations, we’d love to hear from you.
