About the Role

Winston Water Cooler is seeking a seasoned, hands-on Branch Operations Manager to support our Dallas branch, one of our largest and most dynamic locations. In this role, you’ll operate as the right-hand to the Managing Partner, helping lead day-to-day operations across multiple departments, including inside sales, quoting, and warehouse/distribution.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll combine leadership and execution: rolling up your sleeves to support branch operations while identifying and implementing process improvements that reduce inefficiencies and drive performance. You’ll work closely with department leads to ensure orders move accurately, invoices are handled timely, and the branch runs like a well-oiled machine.

We’re looking for someone who already knows the rhythm of a supply house and doesn’t need to be told twice. If you can walk into a branch, assess what’s working (and what’s not), and take ownership from day one, we want to hear from you.

 
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a trusted operational partner to the Managing Partner, acting as an extension of their leadership across the branch.
  • Own and troubleshoot branch-level administrative and operational tasks, including vendor invoices, customer credits, delivery errors, and order fulfillment issues.
  • Partner with the inside sales team to ensure smooth quote-to-order transitions and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure inventory and warehouse processes are efficient, accurate, and aligned with customer delivery needs.
  • Identify inefficiencies or gaps in operational processes and take initiative to fix them.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe branch environment, ensuring teams are operating in line with company standards.
  • Step in to support urgent customer or vendor issues when needed to keep things moving.
 
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience in operations required, a plus if it's within the plumbing supply, HVAC, or wholesale distribution industry.
  • A strong working knowledge of how a supply branch operates across sales, inventory, warehouse, and vendor relationships.
  • Comfortable working in both leadership and individual contributor capacity, this is a true hands-on role.
  • Process-minded with a proven track record of identifying and resolving inefficiencies.
  • Ability to lead through influence, working closely with team leads to align and execute branch goals.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through, especially when dealing with invoices, credits, and process issues.
  • Tech-savvy enough to manage internal systems, but not reliant on automation to get the job done.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
