Hands-on patient experience makes your applications stronger and helps you find out what you love about caring for people. We’ll train you from the start, pay you while you learn, and give you a clear path to skilled caregiving.

Your Path With Us

Step 1: Companion Care & Stand-By Assist (Days 1–90)
After paid orientation, you’ll start with companion care: conversation, meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, medication reminders, and stand-by assistance, staying close while clients walk, bathe, or move around safely.

Step 2: Skilled Caregiver Training (After 90 Days)
Next, you’ll train in our hands-on Care Lab on personal care, safe transfers, mobility support, and dementia care techniques.

Step 3: Skills Check-Off & Pay Increase
When you show you’ve mastered the skills, you’ll move into skilled caregiver assignments and get a pay increase.

Shifts That Work Around Your Classes

• Short visits and full-day shifts
• Mornings, afternoons, and evenings
• Weekends
• Overnight care
• Part-time and fill-in availability

Experience You’ll Gain

• Patient interaction: building trust and communicating with older adults and their families
• Safety awareness: stand-by assistance and fall prevention
• Observation and reporting: noticing changes in a client’s condition and reporting them to your care team
• Daily living support: meal preparation, medication reminders, and light housekeeping
• Dementia awareness: person-centered approaches that respect each client’s dignity
• Professional documentation: recording visit notes accurately

What You Bring

• Interest in a healthcare career (current students and recent graduates encouraged)
• No caregiving experience required. We’ll train you.
• Valid California Home Care Aide (HCA) Registration, or willingness to register before start
• Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain before start)
• Current TB test (or willingness to obtain before start)
• Reliable transportation and valid California driver’s license
• Dependability, patience, and a warm, professional manner

What We Offer
💰 $20–$21 per hour to start
