Job Description
The Service Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations in our service department, managing a team of 2 to 4 Service Advisors and up to 10 Technicians. This individual will drive departmental efficiency, improve customer satisfaction, and ensure profitability. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
This position is commission-based, with earnings tied to gross and retained gross. Base pay typically ranges from $8,000 to $10,000 per month, with potential for more based on growth and department performance.

Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of the service department

Lead and support a team of Service Advisors and Technicians

Monitor and improve key performance metrics, including gross and retained gross

Ensure timely and high-quality customer service interactions

Resolve escalated customer concerns professionally and effectively

Maintain compliance with dealership policies, manufacturer standards, and safety procedures

Implement process improvements to increase department efficiency and profitability

Collaborate with other departments to support overall dealership goals

Foster a positive, high-performance team culture through training, coaching, and accountability
Qualifications
-
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical or management training preferred

3+ years of experience in automotive service management or related leadership role
-
Proven success managing fixed ops performance and service profitability

Strong leadership and communication skills

Familiarity with dealership management systems (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds) is a plus
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
