Outside Parts Salesman

WATERS has been a family-owned business for over 80 years (currently in its 4th generation), opening our doors in 1938. We are a dealer for International Trucks and IC School Buses (Diamond Edge Certified), Collins Buses, Maintainer Service Trucks/Bodies, Jerr-Dan Wreckers/Carriers, Idealease Truck Rental/Leasing, several different Trailer Lines, HuntVe UTVs, Ranch King Hunting Blinds, and all the parts and services that go with them. We also have several contracts for plant and facilities maintenance. WATERS has 7 locations around Mississippi and as we continue to go, we're looking to add dedicated team members to become a part of our family!

An outside parts sales professional conducts parts sales out in the field via face-to-face interactions with both potential and existing customers. They are responsible for offering the best possible customer experience as well as providing hands-on explanations of any new or updated products when necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain and grow parts sales through existing and new clients.
• Required to have clean driving record & keep a valid driver’s license.
• Work in both an independent and team environment.
• Complete customer billing and invoice processing
• Be willing to grow and adapt parts knowledge to best suit our customers.
• Employee must be able to lift common heavy-duty truck parts in a outside sales environment.
• Responsible for completing all training in a timely manner.
• Understand and comply with established guidelines that ensure a safe & healthy work environment.
• Update’s customer records to reflect changes to customers' names, addresses etc.
• Adds new customers to appropriate mailing lists.
• Acts as a public relations liaison for the dealership.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent. 5 years experience in parts and/or service environment.
• Must be fluent in English including the ability to effectively communicate using written and verbal skills.
• The ability to communicate in Spanish is helpful but not required.
• This position is one which often requires the ability to multitask.
• Must be able to quickly assess situations and make accurate decisions based on the information at hand.
