Training Manager - Position Overview:

The Training Manager leads organization-wide orientation, onboarding, learning-resource development, compliance training, and administration of the Relias Learning Management System. Working with Human Resources, operations leaders, and subject matter experts, the role ensures associates receive consistent, accurate, and role-relevant learning support. 

What you will need to qualify for this role: 

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational development, education, instructional design, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered. 

  • Five to seven years of experience in training, learning and development, instructional design, or organizational development. 

  • Experience administering Relias or a comparable LMS and developing onboarding, compliance, leadership, system, or professional development training. 

  • Knowledge of adult learning, instructional design, facilitation, learning evaluation, and training-compliance record keeping. 

  • Strong skills in LMS administration, reporting, data analysis, troubleshooting, communication, project coordination, and stakeholder management. 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and common e-learning, virtual-training, and content-development tools. 

  • Experience in senior living, healthcare, or another multi-location regulated industry. (Preferred, not required) 

  • Certification in training, instructional design, human resources, or change management. (Preferred, not required)
  • Must reside in the United States of America

Key Responsibilities:

Onboarding and Orientation 

  • Design, manage, and improve orientation and onboarding programs for home office associates, community leaders, and other designated roles. 

  • Develop structured 30-, 60, and 90-day plans, role-based requirements, checklists, milestone reviews, and supporting resources. 

  • Coordinate schedules, facilitators, communications, materials, completion tracking, and program feedback. 

  • Partner with department leaders and subject matter experts to define role-specific onboarding within consistent organization-wide standards. 

Learning and Development 

  • Assess training needs and recommend appropriate learning or performance support solutions. 

  • Create instructor-led, virtual, and e-learning materials, including presentations, facilitator and participant guides, job aids, videos, and knowledge checks. 

  • Apply instructional design, and accessibility principles to produce practical, audience-appropriate content. 

  • Manage content review, approval, version control, maintenance, and train-the-trainer support. 

  • Support leadership, professional skills, and other learning programs aligned with organizational needs. 

  • Facilitate training in person or virtually and evaluate effectiveness through completion of data, learner feedback, knowledge checks, and leader follow-up. 

Compliance Training 

  • Coordinate federal, state, and role-specific compliance training with Human Resources, Clinical, Operations, and other subject matter experts. 

  • Maintain the compliance matrix, assignment requirements, deadlines, and audit-ready LMS records. 

  • Monitor completion, report overdue or at-risk training, guide leader follow-up, and update assignments when validated requirements change. 

Relias LMS Administration 

  • Vendor management 

  • Administer Relias user and job-title data, training plans, assignments, content, testing, reporting, and troubleshooting. 

  • Maintain assignment logic based on role, location, level of care, and confirmed regulatory or organizational requirements. 

  • Create and schedule supervisor reports and provide guidance and support for administrators, leaders, and learners. 

  • Partner with Data Integration and Information Technology to resolve data, access, integration, and system issues. 

  • Monitor LMS data quality, recommend process and configuration improvements, and manage the vendor relationship. 

Performance and Talent Development Support 

  • Partner with the Vice President of Human Resources to provide manager training and resources for KPIs, goal setting, check-ins, calibration, performance reviews, talent reviews, and development planning. 

  • Help leaders connect development goals with relevant learning opportunities and business priorities. 

Communication and Stakeholder Engagement 

  • Communicate learning programs, requirements, deadlines, and resources clearly across the organization. 

  • Build effective partnerships and clarify training ownership, timelines, content-review responsibilities, and follow-up expectations. 

  • Champion continuous learning and consistent associate and leader development.
