As the Sourcing Associate, you would report directly to the Director of Recruitment (working in a 100% remotely) and would be responsible for proactively identifying, engaging, and qualifying candidates for a variety of openings across WRC roles, Executive Director positions, and select community-based roles. This position partners closely with the Director of Recruiting and hiring leaders to build diverse pipelines, conduct initial phone screens, and deliver a high-quality candidate experience from first outreach through hand-off to the appropriate team member (Hiring manager, Director of Recruitment, VP of Human Resources, etc).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned requisitions, including various corporate roles, Executive Director positions, and select community roles.
- Identify and engage talent through databases/ATS, LinkedIn, Indeed and other sourcing tools, referrals, networking, and community-based outreach.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines; track prospects and follow up appropriately to convert interest into applicants.
- Conduct structured phone screens to assess qualifications, motivation, work authorization (as applicable), compensation alignment (as applicable), and role fit for both sourced candidates and active new applicants.
- Present qualified candidates to Director of Recruitment or designated hiring team member with clear notes and recommendations; coordinate timely hand-offs.
- Schedule interviews; ensure a responsive, respectful candidate experience.
- Maintain accurate, compliant documentation in the ATS/CRM, including outreach, screen notes, dispositions, and pipeline activity.
- Support job posting refreshes and basic market research (e.g., talent pool availability, competitive insights) to inform sourcing plans.
- Track and report weekly activity and outcomes (e.g., outreach volume, response rates, screens completed, qualified submissions).
- Other duties as assigned to support recruiting operations and hiring priorities.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in talent sourcing, recruiting coordination, or full-cycle recruiting (multi-role environments preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and engage candidates using LinkedIn, Indeed, ATS/CRM databases, referrals, and networking/community outreach.
- Experience building and maintaining talent pipelines, including tracking prospects and managing follow-up cadence.
- Ability to conduct structured phone screens to evaluate qualifications, motivation, role fit, and compensation alignment.
- Strong candidate experience mindset with timely, professional communication and follow-through.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail; able to maintain accurate, compliant documentation (outreach, notes, dispositions, and activity) in an ATS/CRM.
- Comfortable supporting job posting refreshes and basic market research (talent pool availability, competitive insights) to inform sourcing plans.
- Ability to track, analyze, and report weekly activity metrics (outreach volume, response rates, screens completed, qualified submissions).
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to partner effectively with recruiting leadership and hiring managers; able to make clear recommendations with concise notes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident conducting high-volume outreach and screening conversations.
- Self-directed and able to manage priorities in a fully remote environment; capable of collaborating across time zones to meet hiring timelines.
- Proficiency with common recruiting tools and systems (ATS/CRM, sourcing platforms, spreadsheets, and video/phone conferencing tools).
