Idealease Service Tech

An Idealease Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing diesel and fleet vehicles, providing both on-site and shop-based services while ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Service and Repairs:

• Perform maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and hydraulic systems for Idealease lease and rental trucks. 
• Conduct system diagnostics using computerized equipment to identify and verify issues. 
• Follow checklists to ensure all critical parts are examined and adjusted as needed. 
• Perform preventive maintenance, routine inspections, and corrective repairs. 

Mobile Service Operations:

• Respond to customer service calls for on-site diagnostics and repairs at various locations. 
• Work independently while traveling to customer sites to provide timely and efficient service. 
• Replace and repair brake systems, suspension components, and powertrains. 

Customer Service and Communication:

• Maintain positive relationships with customers, providing clear updates on repair status. 
• Ensure customer satisfaction with all services performed. 
• Exhibit professionalism and courtesy to all clients, visitors, and colleagues. 

Workplace Standards and Safety:

• Complete all work according to safety requirements and published procedures. 
• Maintain an organized and clean workspace. 
• Adhere to manufacturer policies, labor operations, and repair documentation standards. 

Qualifications and Skills

• Hands-on experience with diesel engines and medium to heavy-duty trucks, typically 3+ years. 
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. 
• Ability to use modern diagnostic software and tools. 
• Attention to detail, strong documentation skills, and a safety-focused mindset. 
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
