Experienced Diesel and Gas Automotive Technician

Walton Motors is looking for an Experienced Diesel & Gas Automotive Technician to join our growing service team. We’re seeking a skilled technician with at least 2+ years of hands-on experience, strong diagnostic ability, and ASE certification (or equivalent). Diesel experience and Ford certification are highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy

• Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot systems and components

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, electrical, HVAC, and more

• Communicate findings and repair needs clearly to the Service Advisor

• Provide accurate time estimates for recommended repairs

• Complete warranty repairs per manufacturer standards

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications

• 2+ years of automotive technician experience required

• ASE certification or equivalent required

• Diesel experience required; gas engine experience required

• Ford certification highly preferred

• Prior Ford dealership experience is a plus

• Strong diagnostic, electrical, and engine repair skills (B-Level minimum)

• Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and repair tools

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability

• Positive, professional attitude with teamwork skills

• Ability to learn new technologies and service procedures

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
