Caregiver/CNA

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and attentive caregiver to provide personalized in-home care for a client living with cerebral palsy.

Specific Skills Needed:

• Experience with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Ability to safely assist with transfers, mobility, and repositioning, as needed.
• Knowledge of proper body mechanics and safe transfer techniques.
• Ability to assist with range-of-motion exercises as directed in the care plan.
• Patience and understanding when assisting with communication or mobility challenges.
• Ability to recognize and report changes in the client’s condition or behavior.
• Assistance with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration, if needed and within the care plan.
• Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
• Strong observation, documentation, and communication skills.
• Reliability, professionalism, and respect for the client’s dignity and independence.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience caring for individuals with cerebral palsy or other physical disabilities is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or required, depending on agency policy.
• Must be dependable, compassionate, patient, and willing to follow the individualized care plan.
