Sojourn Suites at the Portland International Airport is undergoing an extraordinary re imagining, transforming into a dual-branded destination: Hyatt House for extended stays and Mindaro by JDV, a one-of-a-kind independent hotel experience. With a first-class location, an upscale re-brand, a new restaurant concept and re-imagined meeting space, this will be the first 4-star hotel at PDX — and you could be the one to help write its success story.
We’re searching for a bold, strategic, and inspiring Director of Sales who thrives on challenge and sees opportunity where others see obstacles. You’ll be leading sales efforts before the dust has even settled, bringing this vision to life from blueprints to booking.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and execute pre-opening sales strategy across all segments (transient, corporate, group, and extended stay).
- Build partnerships with key business, airport, and travel contacts to establish long-term demand.
- Develop a high-performing sales team ready to launch two unique brands.
- Sell the idea — and then the reality — of a revitalized, design-forward destination.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align marketing, PR, revenue, and operations with sales goals.
What You Bring:
- Proven experience in hotel sales leadership, preferably in new openings or re-branding.
- Expertise in building relationships and selling concepts — not just room nights.
- Energy, resilience, and creativity to help change perceptions and build excitement.
- Ability to develop sales strategies.
