Job Description

Vaughn Ford of Zachary is seeking an elite, Senior Master Technician to join our growing service team. This is a high-level position for a career-minded professional who has mastered the Ford product line. You will be responsible for complex diagnostics, heavy engine and transmission repair, and mentoring junior technicians.

Pay

• Up to $70 per flat rate hour

  • We pay $20 more per hour than most dealerships in our area.

Top-Tier Flat Rate Pay Plan (Commensurate with Ford Certifications and experience). We offer highly competitive rates for Master-level technicians.

Work Requirements

• Current Ford Master Certification required (or close to achieving)

• Ability to commute to Zachary, LA required

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

• Ownership of a comprehensive set of professional tools

Responsibilities

• Perform expert-level diagnostics and repairs on all Ford and Lincoln vehicle systems

• Handle complex engine, transmission, and electrical repairs with precision

• Execute recalls and warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications

• Provide clear, detailed documentation of all work performed

• Act as a technical resource and mentor for apprentice and line technicians

• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work bay

• Stay current on all Ford factory training and new model year certifications

• Ensure "Fixed Right First Time" metrics are consistently met

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a Ford dealership service environment

• Expert knowledge of Ford diagnostic software (IDS/FDRS)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Professional demeanor with a commitment to shop safety and quality

• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
