Key responsibilities

Reporting to the Controller/VP of accounting, the Senior Accountant will:

  • Prepare, analyze, and ensure the accuracy of financial statements, including monthly and annual reports.

  • Maintain financial records in compliance with gaap and internal policies.

  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

  • Prepare for and facilitate financial audits, working closely with external auditors.

  • Monitor and interpret cash flows, providing strategic financial insights.

  • Assess financial risks and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

  • Collaborate with the sales and operations departments to ensure financial alignment.

Qualifications & Experience

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • Minimum of 3 years in a Senior Accountant role.

  • Experience with ERP system conversions and implementation.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong background in insurance and financial reporting.

  • Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements and digitization.

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts clearly.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA or other professional certification (highly desirable).

  • Familiarity with private equity and acquisition integration.

  • Sage accounting software experience is a plus.

Salary: $90,000 - $110,000
