Marketing & Communications Manager - Williamsburg, Va

330 West Main Street, Williamsburg, VA
Full Time

Do you love the execution side of marketing — bringing a plan to life, producing great content, and keeping campaigns moving on schedule? Are you energized by working inside a club environment and supporting the teams who deliver the member experience every day? If so, we'd love to talk.

Up to Par Management | Taylor Hospitality is hiring a Marketing & Communications Manager based in Williamsburg, VA. This is an on-site role split 3 days / 2 days across two of our Williamsburg-area club and golf properties, alternating each week (3 days at Property A and 2 days at Property B one week, then 2 days at Property A and 3 days at Property B the next). You'll be the on-property marketing execution lead at both clubs, plus a remote property — bringing the yearly marketing plan to life, producing content, and supporting the Golf, Membership, Events, and F&B teams with the marketing assets and communications they need.

Reporting Line

This position reports directly to the Vice President of Marketing at Up to Par Management | Taylor Hospitality. On-property, this role partners collaboratively with General Managers, Directors of Golf, Membership Directors, Event Coordinators, and F&B leadership.

Compensation & Benefits

$48,000 per year. Full-time associates receive health, dental, vision, and life insurance, 401(k), short- and long-term disability, paid holidays, vacation, personal and sick time, lean management training, and employee discount benefits through our HR provider, LL Roberts.

About the Role

The Marketing & Communications Manager is an execution-focused role that supports and activates the marketing plan set by the corporate team for the property. You will help bring the plan to life at two of our Williamsburg-area properties and a third one remotely — producing content, running the campaign calendar, managing social and email channels, and capturing on-property moments — while supporting the club teams who plan and deliver events, tournaments, and member programming.

Schedule & Location

  • Based in Williamsburg, VA — on-site at both assigned properties.
  • 3 days / 2 days split across the two properties, alternating each week: 3 days at Property A and 2 days at Property B one week, reversed the following week.
  • Occasional evening or weekend hours during tournaments, member events, and peak season.
  • Quarterly 3-day travel to the remote property.

What You'll Do

  • Execute the marketing plan by designing and activating proposed campaigns, using consistent brand standards, and building the content calendar into property-level marketing and communications.
  • Help create campaign assets, content, and collateral by contributing ideas and drafts rather than owning the strategy.
  • Manage day-to-day social media for each property, posting on-brand content and responding to member and guest engagement.
  • Produce and send member newsletters, event invitations, tournament reminders, and seasonal email campaigns.
  • Capture on-property spur-of-the-moment photo and video content (event coverage, member spotlights, and tournament moments) and organize assets for company-wide use.
  • Support the Golf, Membership, Events, and F&B departments by producing the marketing materials they need (event flyers, signage, menu promotions, member communications) — this role does not provide input on how events, tournaments, or programming are planned or run.
  • Keep each property's website content, landing pages, and digital listings accurate and up to date.
  • Support local advertising, sponsorship, and PR efforts as directed; coordinating placements, tracking deliverables, and maintaining the relationships assigned to you.
  • Pull and report on campaign performance metrics (website traffic, bookings, email engagement, social performance, event registrations) on a monthly basis.
  • Flag trends, opportunities, and on-property needs to the VP of Golf Operations and VP of Marketing so they can be considered in the broader plan.

What You'll Bring

  • 2+ years of marketing, communications, or content experience — hospitality, golf, private club, or events experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong writing and content creation skills, with samples or a portfolio to share.
  • Hands-on social media execution skills across Instagram, Facebook, and emerging platforms; comfort with basic photo and video capture and editing.
  • Working knowledge of email marketing tools, CMS platforms, and analytics dashboards (Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, or equivalent).
  • Strong organizational and execution skills, able to manage a content calendar, meet deadlines, and juggle multiple properties without dropping a ball.
  • A collaborative, service-minded approach. You're comfortable taking direction from a remote manager and working alongside on-property teams as a partner.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation — you'll be moving between two Williamsburg-area properties each week.
  • Familiarity with the Williamsburg / Historic Triangle market is a plus.
