Assisting Living Building Caregiver

University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Assisting Living Building Caregiver to provide high-quality care and support to residents in our assisted living community located in Royal Oak, MI. This role involves assisting residents with daily living activities while fostering a safe, comfortable, and positive environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Support residents with mobility and transfers safely and respectfully.
• Help with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
• Provide companionship and engage residents in meaningful activities.
• Monitor and document residents’ condition and behavior, reporting any changes to nursing staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the living environment following company policies.
• Respond promptly and calmly to emergencies or resident needs.

Requirements

• Previous experience in assisted living, caregiving, or related field is preferred but not required. 
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
• Compassion, patience, and a strong commitment to resident care.
• Ability to lift and assist residents safely.
• Flexible availability to work various shifts as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
