Personal Support Worker

University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team in Dexter, MI. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to individuals in their homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will be attentive, reliable, and committed to enhancing the quality of life for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Help with mobility and transfers while ensuring client safety.
• Monitor clients’ health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment in clients’ homes.
• Follow individualized care plans and communicate effectively with clients and their families.
• Document care provided and maintain accurate records.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Personal Support Worker or in a similar caregiving role is a plus.
• Ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is a plus.
