Direct Care Worker

University Home Care Inc is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Workers to provide exceptional care and support to our clients in Oak Park, MI. In this role, you will assist individuals with daily living activities, promote their independence, and enhance their quality of life through personalized and attentive care.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on personal care including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Assist clients with medication reminders and basic health monitoring.
• Support clients with mobility and transfer assistance.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation as needed.
• Document care provided and report any changes in client condition.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Requirements

• Previous experience in direct care or a related field is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation to travel to client homes.
