Home Care Assistant

University Home Care Inc is seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Assistants to provide exceptional in-home support to our clients in Inkster, MI. As a Home Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals who require assistance with daily activities, promoting independence and comfort in their own homes.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene
• Provide support with mobility and transfers to ensure safety and comfort
• Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
• Administer medication reminders following care plans
• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients
• Document care provided and communicate any changes in client condition to supervisors

Requirements

• Previous experience in home care or related field is an advantage
• Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with clients and family members
• Reliable transportation to and from client locations
• Ability to pass background checks
• Basic knowledge of safety and infection control practices
• Physical stamina to perform duties including lifting and assisting clients
