Home Care Assistant

University Home Care Inc is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Home Care Assistants in Northville, MI. In this role, you will provide essential in-home support to clients, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life. You will assist with daily living activities, offer companionship, and ensure a safe and comfortable environment for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Help with mobility and transferring clients safely.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping duties including laundry and cleaning.
• Provide medication reminders and monitor client well-being.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities.
• Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided.

Requirements

• Previous caregiving or home health experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to pass background checks.
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation preferred.
