Personal Care Assistant

University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide exceptional in-home support to our clients in Livonia, MI. This role is essential in helping clients maintain their independence and improve their quality of life through personalized care and assistance with daily activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Provide companionship and support to enhance clients’ emotional well-being.
• Help with mobility and transferring clients safely.
• Assist with light household tasks including meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry.
• Monitor clients' health and report any changes or concerns to supervisors.
• Follow care plans and instructions from healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate records of services provided and client progress.

Requirements

• Previous experience in personal care or home health preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively and show empathy.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Must pass background check.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
