Personal Care Assistant

University Home Care Inc is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Assistant to provide support and assistance to clients in Royal Oak, MI. This role involves helping individuals with daily living activities to enhance their quality of life and promote their independence.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
• Help with mobility and transferring clients safely.
• Provide companionship and support to enhance emotional well-being.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Monitor client’s condition and report any changes to medical or supervisory staff.
• Follow care plans and adhere to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a caregiving or personal care role is a plus.
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Must be able to pass background checks.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
