Personal Care Assistant

University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide exceptional care and support to our clients in Rochester Hills, MI. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for individuals who require assistance with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Support clients with mobility and transferring
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
• Provide companionship and engage clients in activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Document care provided and report any changes in client condition promptly

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar caregiving role is an asset, but NOT required
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and assisting with mobility
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable
• Valid driver’s license or State ID is required for the position
• Reliable transportation is a plus
• Ability to pass background checks
