Direct Care Assistant

University Home Care Inc is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Assistants to join our team in White Lake, MI. In this role, you will provide essential support and care to our clients, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life in their own homes. Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients’ well-being
• Ensure a safe and clean living environment for clients
• Follow individualized care plans and communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Monitor and report any changes in clients’ conditions or needs
• Assist with light housekeeping and errands as needed

Requirements

• Previous experience in direct care or a related field is an asset, but NOT required
• Compassionate, reliable, and patient with strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is a plus
• Must be able to pass background checks
