Direct Care Worker

University Home Care Inc is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Workers to provide essential support and care to our clients in Brighton, MI. This role involves assisting individuals with daily living activities to promote their independence and improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Support clients with mobility and transferring safely.
• Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs.
• Help with medication reminders and basic health monitoring.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of services provided.
• Communicate effectively with clients’ families and healthcare providers.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures to ensure client safety and confidentiality.

Requirements

• Previous experience in caregiving or direct care roles is an asset but NOT required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving.
• Reliable, compassionate, and patient demeanor.
• Willingness to undergo background checks.
