Automotive Service Technician — Universal Mitsubishi — Sherman Oaks, CA

 

Universal Mitsubishi is hiring an experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our service team in Sherman Oaks, CA.

 

We're looking for a skilled technician with strong diagnostic and repair abilities who takes pride in quality work. Mitsubishi experience is preferred but not required — qualified technicians from all manufacturer backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning

• Perform repairs efficiently and accurately to manufacturer specifications and dealership procedures

• Use modern diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and service information

• Road-test vehicles as required for diagnosis and repair verification

• Inspect vehicles and accurately document repair and maintenance findings

• Communicate repair findings and additional service needs to the Service Advisor

• Perform warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer requirements

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

• 5+ years of professional automotive service technician experience

• ASE certification preferred but not required

• Strong diagnostic, electrical, and mechanical repair skills

• Ability to work effectively as part of a service team

• Valid driver's license required — driving and road-testing customer vehicles are essential functions of this position

• High school diploma or equivalent
