Taylor Hospitality is hiring a Full-Time Housekeeping / Room Attendant to join our team at the newly renovated Tygart Hotel in downtown Elkins, WV. If you take pride in creating clean, welcoming spaces and enjoy working in a team-oriented environment, we’d love to hear from you!
Compensation: Starting pay of $12.50 per hour
What You'll Be Doing:
As a Housekeeping / Room Attendant, you'll play a vital role in creating a positive guest experience. You’ll be responsible for:
- Cleaning and restocking guest rooms to brand standards
- Making beds, replacing linens, and sanitizing bathrooms
- Dusting, vacuuming, and maintaining cleanliness throughout rooms and hallways
- Reporting any maintenance issues, damages, or lost items
- Responding to guest requests and ensuring high satisfaction
- Restocking your housekeeping cart and assisting with inventories
- Collaborating with the housekeeping supervisor and team to meet daily goals
What We're Looking For:
- Experience: No formal education required. Previous housekeeping experience is a plus, but not required—we’re happy to train the right person!
- Skills: Attention to detail, reliability, and time management. Must be able to meet room-cleaning quotas and follow safety protocols.
- Communication: Basic English skills to read instructions and communicate with team members and guests.
- Able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Comfortable bending, kneeling, standing, and moving for extended periods
- Ability to use cleaning chemicals safely (training provided)
- Must wear assigned uniform and name tag during shifts
