Academic Tutor (All Subjects – K–12)

We’re hiring dependable and motivated Academic Tutors to support students in grades K–12 across a range of subjects, including math, English/ELA, science, and language learning.

This is an in-person tutoring role with flexible scheduling. Perfect for teachers, substitute teachers, student teachers, education majors, or experienced tutors who want to make a difference in students’ academic success.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring for students in grades K–12

• Adapt sessions to meet each student’s individual learning style and goals

• Support homework completion, test prep, and skill development

• Encourage confidence, motivation, and a positive approach to learning

• Communicate student progress with families and our office team via session reports

Qualifications

• Experience tutoring or teaching students (K–12) preferred

• Strong knowledge in one or more core subjects (math, English, science, or language learning)

• Reliable transportation for in-home sessions in Carlsbad, Oceanside, and nearby areas

• Professional, punctual, and dependable

• Minimum commitment of 3 months

• After-school availability preferred (typically between 3–7pm)

• Bachelor’s degree or current college enrollment in education or related field preferred
