Position Summary 

The Automotive Accounting Professional helps with general accounting duties. 

The Automotive Accounting Professional will function primarily in all aspects of the Payroll function including, but not limited to: 

  • Perform all duties of Accounts Payable function including, but not limited to, processing invoices, payments, and reconciling monthly vendor statements. 

  • Track and Maintain expense review sheet 

  • Enter Payroll information to Payroll system for all payrolls. 

  • Review Payroll registers for accuracy of earnings and deductions.  

  • Reconcile and verify employee benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations to ensure accurate payroll deductions. 

  • Maintain and track employee accounts receivable balances to ensure accurate and timely payroll deductions. 

  • Maintain and update the company organizational chart on a monthly basis. 

  • Support the daily operations of the accounting department. 

  • Review general ledger accounts and prepare correcting entries when necessary. 

  • Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with company procedures. 

  • Reconcile finance receivable statements and investigate discrepancies as needed. 

The Automotive Accounting Professional will record and maintain business transactions, safeguarding customer personal records and reporting and correcting any non-compliance. This position is expected to respond to and support departmental managers requesting additional information affecting their individual departments. 

General Responsibilities 

  • Ensure assigned accounting tasks are completed accurately, on time, and in accordance with established deadlines and commitments. 

  • Demonstrate strong communication, customer service, organizational, and analytical skills in daily responsibilities. 

  • Maintain a professional appearance and contribute to a professional work environment. 

  • Attend required companywide trainings and meetings. 

  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned. 

Requirements 

  • General Bookkeeping or Public accounting experience - Preferred
