We’re looking for an Evening Operations Manager who is ready to take charge of the hotel and our onsite restaurant/bar, during evening operations. This is a key leadership role that helps drive the guest experience, support our teams, and uphold the standards of both Marriott brands and First Call Hospitality.
The Role:
The Evening Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the hotel and food & beverage operations during the evening shift. This includes leading front desk and restaurant staff, supporting guest needs, resolving service issues, and ensuring that the hotel runs smoothly and efficiently in the absence of senior management. You’ll report directly to the General Manager and coordinate closely with department leads, ensuring seamless communication between shifts and departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the property’s manager-on-duty during evening hours, ensuring guest satisfaction and operational excellence across hotel and restaurant functions.
- Supervise evening hotel operations, including the front desk, housekeeping coordination, and guest services.
- Support restaurant/bar staff during peak evening hours to ensure high-quality service and adherence to brand standards.
- Handle guest concerns with professionalism and resolve issues promptly.
- Assist with evening cash handling, reconciliation, and reporting procedures.
- Monitor safety, cleanliness, and service quality across all guest-facing areas.
- Provide coaching, leadership, and support to evening team members.
- Communicate clearly with day leadership teams to ensure consistent service and goal alignment.
What We’re Looking For:
- 2+ years of supervisory or management experience in hospitality, food & beverage, or similar service industry roles.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to think quickly and calmly in dynamic situations.
- Clear and effective communication skills—written and verbal.
- Comfort with basic administrative tasks such as shift reporting, scheduling notes, and nightly audits.
- A passion for hospitality and a desire to make a positive impact on every guest and team member.
Work Schedule:
- Evening shifts (typically between 3:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. or similar).
- Weekends and holidays are expected.
