Automotive Technician – Tom Wood Honda (Anderson, IN)

Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Every third Saturday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Pay:
$23.00 – $50.00 per flat rate hour (based on experience)

Position Overview

Tom Wood Honda in Anderson, IN is seeking a dedicated and skilled Automotive Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, and has a strong work ethic with at least basic automotive knowledge. This role requires a commitment to providing top-quality service in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Location Note: 

This position is currently based at our Anderson, IN location. Tom Wood Honda is excited to be transitioning to a brand-new dealership facility in Whitestown, Indiana, expected to open early 2027. Team members hired now will have the opportunity to grow with us through this exciting transition.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes, tire rotations, and other routine maintenance services efficiently.

• Conduct vehicle inspections and identify necessary repairs or maintenance.

• Document all services performed accurately.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

• Follow all safety protocols and procedures.

• Clearly communicate vehicle issues and repair recommendations to service advisors and customers.

• Stay current with automotive technology and repair techniques.

• Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow.

• Perform minor repairs (e.g., replacing filters, wipers, light bulbs).

• Adhere to company policies, quality standards, and customer satisfaction goals.

• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of automotive repair experience required.

• ASE certifications or manufacturer training preferred.

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

• Proficient with modern diagnostic tools and shop equipment (wheel/tire equipment, alignment systems, AC machines, etc.).

• Team-oriented, flexible, and committed to high-quality work.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
