Full-Time Center Associate

The UPS Store of Alamo Heights is a locally owned business and looking to grow our team with a new Full Time Center Associate.  Do you like having your evenings free? The Center Associate delivers world-class customer service through processing packing and shipping services, mail and package receiving, printing solutions, product return programs, and providing many other offered services and solutions. 

The ideal candidate has previous retail sales experience, strong computer skills, works well in a team, has a friendly and helpful demeanor, is solution focused, and has effective verbal and written communication skills. 

RESPONSIBILITIES          

• Delivers outstanding customer service to all walk-in customers and telephone inquiries
• Effectively performs all duties related to opening and closing the store 
• Takes action to learn all product and service offerings including but not limited to shredding, scanning, notaries, printing, faxing, laminating and so much more!
• Operates all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion
• Maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment
• Attends monthly staff meeting
• Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS            

• High school diploma or GED required
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace applications
• Eligible to become a notary 
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Prompt, reliable, and responsible
• Able to lift 40+ pounds unassisted 
• Comfortable working a dynamic environment
• Ability to multitask and prioritize appropriately
• Previous POS/cash handling experience preferred

COMPENSATION

• $13.00 - $14.50 per hour, based on experience 
• Clear path provided to earn an additional $1.50/hour within 90 days of employment.
