Position Overview:
The Lobby Ambassador at The UPS Store #7397 serves as the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional customer service, managing kiosk operations, and ensuring a seamless experience for all visitors. This role involves assisting customers with a variety of tasks, troubleshooting technical issues, and maintaining a welcoming and organized lobby environment.


Key Responsibilities:

Customer Assistance and Support

  • Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance to address their needs.
  • Guide customers through available services, including shipping, printing, mailbox rentals, and packaging.
  • Answer inquiries regarding store policies, shipping options, and pricing.
  • Assist customers in completing forms or using self-service tools as needed.

Kiosk Management

  • Monitor and maintain kiosks, ensuring they are operational and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Assist customers in using self-service kiosks for printing, scanning, or shipping transactions.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns related to kiosk functionality promptly.

Technical Troubleshooting

  • Diagnose and resolve minor technical issues with store equipment such as printers, copiers, and kiosks.
  • Escalate complex technical problems to the appropriate team for resolution.
  • Provide basic guidance to customers on how to operate store technology and tools.

Lobby Maintenance

  • Ensure the lobby is clean, organized, and inviting at all times.
  • Regularly restock brochures, shipping supplies, and promotional materials.
  • Monitor traffic flow in the lobby and manage queues efficiently.

Sales Support

  • Promote store products and services to customers, including upselling value-added services.
  • Assist customers in selecting the appropriate packaging materials and shipping options for their needs.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system.

Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic technical proficiency with kiosks, printers, and other equipment.
  • Previous experience in customer service or retail is preferred.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
