Hairdresser - Senior Living

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate independent hairdresser to offer on-site hair care services to our residents.

Opportunity:

We are looking for a self-motivated and reliable hairdresser to provide professional hair services to our residents within our assisted living facility. This is an excellent opportunity for an independent professional to build a consistent clientele within a supportive and appreciative community. You will have the flexibility to set your own schedule and rates.

Responsibilities:

• Provide a range of hairdressing services to residents, including haircuts, styling, shampooing, and other requested services.
• Communicate effectively and respectfully with residents, understanding their individual needs and preferences.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area during and after appointments.
• Adhere to all facility policies and procedures.
• Manage your own appointment scheduling with residents.

Requirements:

• Valid cosmetology license or relevant certification in the state of Massachusetts.
• Must possess and maintain your own professional liability insurance. Proof of current insurance will be required.
• Must provide your own professional hairdressing supplies. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient demeanor.
• Experience working with seniors or individuals with varying levels of mobility is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own time effectively.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and professional.
• Must pass a background check as required by state regulations.

Compensation:

This is an independent contractor position. You will:

• Set your own service rates.
• Retain all income generated from your services.

The assisted living community will provide a designated space within the facility for you to provide services.
