Job Summary: The Supply Chain Specialist's primary duties will be to provide order entry support while also monitoring and maintaining inventory. This person will process orders and follow them through to delivery. The Supply Chain Specialist will be the liaison to suppliers and will be responsible to ensure the Syzygy is receiving the best price for materials and services and that orders are on time and meet quality expectations. This person will perform day-to-day supply chain duties while also perform other logistical duties for indirect tasks as deemed necessary.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform day-to-day purchasing functions.
  • Conduct request for information
  • Initiate Supplier Relations
  • Build relationships with vendors and manufacturers
  • Assure fulfillment of orders from creating Purchase Orders to Delivery
  • Co-ordinate orders with logistics team, engineering, vendors, and service providers
  • Identify and resolve issues with vendors/internal customers arising throughout the procurement process.
  • Collaborate with engineering to plan, implement, and maintain a target inventory.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of procedures, formats and templates used in purchasing.
  • Maintain metrics, monitor improvements, and document processes as required.
  • Evaluate and/or monitor vendor performance using a vendor performance matrix.
  • Constantly in touch with Syzygy’s product and it’s developments while seeking vendor support and
  • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
  • Ensure ethical sourcing while also complying with Syzygy’s Company and HSE policies and procedures

Education & Experience Qualifications:    

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or Logistics preferred; or an Associate’s Degree with 3 years of applicable experience.

Skills:

  • Proficient in Excel
  • Quick Books experience is a plus
  • Presentation skills a plus
