Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Industrial Laundry Tunnel Operator to join our production team. The Tunnel Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring a continuous batch washer (CBW) tunnel system and associated equipment to ensure laundry is processed safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards. This role is critical to maintaining production goals and delivering high-quality results to our customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor industrial laundry tunnel washing systems and related equipment.
• Load and process laundry according to established production schedules and wash formulas.
• Ensure proper sorting and flow of linen, garments, towels, mats, and other laundry items through the tunnel system.
• Monitor water levels, chemical injections, wash temperatures, and cycle times.
• Inspect equipment to ensure proper operation and identify maintenance concerns.
• Troubleshoot minor operational issues and report equipment malfunctions promptly.
• Maintain production records and complete required documentation accurately.
• Ensure quality standards are met throughout the washing process.
• Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout protocols and chemical handling guidelines.
• Assist with housekeeping and maintaining a clean work environment.
• Work closely with supervisors, maintenance personnel, and production staff to maximize efficiency.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a commercial laundry, manufacturing, or industrial production environment preferred.
• Experience operating a Continuous Batch Washer (CBW) or tunnel system is highly desirable.
• Ability to understand and follow production schedules and operating procedures.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work in a production environment with exposure to heat, humidity, noise, and moving equipment.
• Ability to bend, twist, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
