Banquet Captain

The Surfsand Resort and Wayfarer Restaurant are seeking a part-time Banquet Captain to join our growing Food & Beverage team!

As Banquet Captain, you will be responsible for supervising banquet staff and ensuring smooth coordination of all food and beverage services for banquet functions. We're looking for a team-oriented leader with excellent communication and organizational skills to help deliver exceptional guest experiences. • Controls labor costs, including payroll, tip distribution, beverage control, preparation, and signing of banquet checks

• Conducts accurate equipment inventories

• Trains the banquet team and oversees the enforcement of hotel standards on setting up the banquet facilities, up keeping, services, break away, event courses, and cleaning

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or GED
• Two years related banquet/catering experience
• Prior hospitality experience preferred 
• Customer Service experience preferred
• Knowledge of health department standards of food sanitation and safety practices
• Oregon Food Handler Certification and OLCC license
