Who Are We Looking For?

As the Warehouse Receiving Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the receiving area and ensuring the accurate and efficient intake, inspection, and documentation of all incoming shipments. This position serves as a key liaison between warehouse staff and management, helping to maintain inventory accuracy, enforce safety standards, and support the overall logistics workflow. This is a full-time, non-exempt position.

 

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Needed:

  • Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, inventory software).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Repeatedly stand, squat, bend and lift for long periods of time.
  • Transfer equipment manually or with a hoist/pallet jack with weight up to 500 lbs.

Qualifications: 

  • 2+ years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • 1+ years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.
  • Familiarity with inventory and warehouse management systems (e.g., WMS, ERP).
  • Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment is required.
  • Strong understanding of safety and compliance procedures.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Supervise daily receiving operations to ensure timely and accurate processing of incoming goods.
  • Inspect shipments for accuracy, damage, and quality; report and document discrepancies.
  • Verify shipment contents against purchase orders and invoices.
  • Coordinate unloading of deliveries and proper placement of goods in designated areas.
  • Train, mentor, and guide receiving staff to ensure compliance with company procedures.
  • Communicate with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams to resolve receiving issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of received items and update inventory management systems.
  • Assist in cycle counts, inventory audits, and reconciliation as needed.
  • Enforce safety regulations and ensure cleanliness and organization of the receiving area.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in warehouse operations.
  • Process and restock returned goods (RMA’s)
  • Replenishment of warehouse supplies
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Working Conditions:

  • Warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
  • Occasional overtime, including evenings and weekends, may be required.

 

Compensation: $21 - $24/hour DOE, + Company & SMART goal Bonus opportunities
