Who Are We Looking For?

Superfeet's Director of Global Fulfillment oversees the end-to-end global fulfillment operations to ensure efficient, accurate, and cost-effective delivery of products to customers and consumers worldwide. This role involves managing global distribution networks, optimizing logistics processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet customer expectations while adhering to service-level agreements (SLAs). The position requires strategic planning, operational excellence, and a focus on continuous improvement to enhance the overall customer experience. 

What You’ll Do:

Fulfillment Operations Management:

  • Oversee global fulfillment operations, including warehousing, order processing, receiving of material order from manufacturing sources, and shipping to customers and consumers, as well as return management, to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. 
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain high service levels. 
  • Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction. 

Logistics and Distribution Optimization:

  • Manage global distribution networks and ensure optimal routing and carrier utilization. 
  • Collaborate with logistics providers/3PLs to negotiate contracts, manage relationships, and ensure compliance with service agreements. 
  • Implement cost-effective shipping solutions while maintaining delivery speed and reliability. 

Inventory and Capacity Planning:

  • Partner with supply/inventory planning teams to ensure adequate stock levels and fulfillment capacity at all global locations and oversee execution of monthly/annual cycle count.
  • Analyze sales order patterns and seasonal trends to plan and execute fulfillment strategies.
  • Warehouse/Fulfillment workforce planning to strike the right balance of highest order fulfillment and team morale especially during holiday and key retail/sales peak moments.   

Process Improvement: 

  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline fulfillment operations and enhance scalability. 
  • Leverage automation and technology to improve efficiency, accuracy, and responsiveness in fulfillment processes. 

Customer/Consumer Experience Management: 

  • Partner with Sales Operations and DTC teams to ensure fulfillment processes align with customer/consumer expectations and company service standards.
  • Act as a point of escalation for fulfillment issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. 

Compliance and Risk Management: 

  • Ensure fulfillment operations comply with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and environmental standards. 
  • Develop risk mitigation plans to address potential disruptions in the global fulfillment network. 

Team Leadership and Development: 

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of fulfillment professionals across multiple regions (Canada, UK, Asia). 
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration: 

  • Partner with supply chain, sales, customer care, and IT teams to ensure alignment on fulfillment objectives and initiatives. 
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership on global fulfillment trends and performance.  

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, operations, or experience in a related field.
  • Experience: 
    • 8+ years of experience in fulfillment, logistics, or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role. 
    • Proven expertise in managing global fulfillment operations across multiple regions. 
    • Direct 3PL Management experience is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: 
    • Proficiency in ERP and WMS systems. 
    • Experience with logistics software and data analysis tools. 
    • Knowledge of global trade regulations, customs, and compliance requirements. 
  • Leadership Skills: 
    • Strong ability to lead cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams. 
    • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills. 
  • Demonstrated adaptability to flexible work environment: this role involves a mix of office, remote, and on-site work at fulfillment centers and logistics hubs. International travel may be required to oversee operations and meet with partners or stakeholders. 

This is a hybrid role - while residence in the Whatcom County area is not required, regular travel to our Headquarters in Ferndale, WA is necessary for this role. Ideally, we are searching for candidates in the following states: 

  • Washington
  • Oregon

Compensation: $115k - $125k annually DOE + company & SMART bonus opportunities
