Tow Truck Driver

Sunwise Automotive Group is looking for a Tow Truck Driver (Class C- no special license needed) to join our growing and expanding team.! Our ideal candidate will have a passion for cars while delivering a premium brand experience. The tow-truck driver position for Sunwise Automotive Group is based out of the Sunwise Automotive Collision Center in Concord but will require you to pick-up and transport vehicles between all our dealership locations which include BMW Concord, Audi Concord, Weatherford BMW in Berkeley, BMW of San Rafael, and Marin Subaru in San Rafael as well as hauling vehicles from other locations such as auction, impound, and other shops across the Bay Area and beyond. This is a steady Monday through Friday, business hours schedule which will allow you to have your evenings and weekends free.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Loads, unloads, and secures vehicles on flatbed/tow truck in a safe, efficient, and timely manner
• Arrives to scheduled appointments on a timely manner and maintains communication with guests regarding any changes to scheduled time
• Transport cars between dealerships and other locations
• Communicate with vendors and employees
• Inspects and maintains flat bed/tow truck vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition
• Perform tasks independently with minimal supervision
• Follow delivery schedule given
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
• Maintain a clean driving record
• Obeys traffic laws, and follows established traffic and transportation procedures
• Must follow all company safety policies and practices
• Assists the body shop department, as needed
• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner
• Maintains high ethical standards in all actions
• Maintains a high level of grooming, hygiene, and uniform appearance
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
• Individual will be required to: Sit and drive for long periods at a time

 QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 2 Years Car Hauling/ Towing Experience preferred
• Excellent Safety Record
• A positive and friendly attitude
• Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs
• Great communication skills
• Professional appearance and strong work ethic a must
• Customer service, time management, and the ability to multitask are required
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record

COMPENSATION:

• The Tow Truck Driver Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of between $28.00 and $35.00. –Hourly rate depends on experience.
