What is a Communications Coordinator?
A Communications Coordinator is a key player in managing a company’s internal and external communications. This role involves developing written materials, coordinating media outreach, and ensuring that all messaging aligns with the brand’s voice and goals. It is ideal for someone who is highly organized, creative, and passionate about storytelling and strategic messaging.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and distribute internal communications to keep staff informed and engaged

• Write, edit, and proofread press releases, newsletters, blog posts, and other content

• Coordinate with design and marketing teams to align communication strategies

• Maintain and update communication calendars and media contact lists

• Assist with the planning and execution of promotional events and campaigns

• Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on communication performance

• Ensure all external messaging reflects brand consistency and tone

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field

• 1-2 years of experience in a communications or related role

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with design and content tools is a plus

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
