About the Position

Steven Kia is seeking a Used Car Technician to support our reconditioning and service operations. This role focuses on inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing used vehicles to ensure they meet dealership safety and quality standards before being placed on the lot.

The ideal candidate is efficient, detail-oriented, and takes pride in delivering quality work that supports both customer satisfaction and dealership performance.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-point inspections on used vehicles

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues

• Complete reconditioning work to prepare vehicles for sale

• Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, brakes, tires, etc.)

• Identify and communicate additional repair needs

• Ensure all work is completed accurately and efficiently

• Maintain a clean and organized work area

• Follow all safety procedures and dealership standards

• Work closely with service advisors and management

Qualifications

• Previous automotive technician experience required

• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills

• Experience with used vehicle reconditioning preferred

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Strong attention to detail and quality

• Valid driver’s license required

• ASE certifications are a plus but not required

Compensation

$29 - $40 per hour based on experience

• Flat rate or hourly structure (based on experience)

• Performance-based earning potential

• Consistent workflow and reconditioning volume

Schedule

• Full-time position

• 5-day work week
