Job Description

Our Cooks play an important role in creating a positive dining experience for our residents. You will prepare high-quality, nutritious, and appealing meals while following established recipes, company standards, and all applicable food safety and sanitation regulations.

The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, efficient, and passionate about food service. You should be comfortable working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient food service department.
• Prepare and serve attractive, nutritious, and high-quality meals in a timely and organized manner.
• Demonstrate proficiency in basic food production skills while consistently meeting company quality standards.
• Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and established preparation procedures.
• Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, and safety practices.
• Follow special dietary requirements and meal preparation guidelines as directed.
• Work collaboratively with the culinary and community teams to ensure residents receive excellent dining service.
• Manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in a similar cooking or food service position.
• Experience preparing meals for large groups preferred.
• Knowledge of special diets and modified meal preparation preferred.
• Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices required.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow recipes.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work the scheduled overnight shift.
• Must successfully pass a background check.
