Staff Accountant

St Charles Nissan is located in St. Peters, MO and is now hiring for a Staff Accountant position.  We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is a responsible, able to learn quickly and has strong attention to detail to join our exceptional team.  Our continued growth has created a perfect opportunity for an accounting professional who wants to advance their career with a well-established 50+ year organization.  This position will report and assist the Controller with daily and month end process.  If you are looking for an exciting opportunity, we would love to speak to you!

Salary is based on experience  

Role Responsibilities

• Oversee Factory Payables/ Receivables
• Inventory Control
• Prepare sales tax and all filing forms with state
• Reconcile wide variety of accounts, schedules, and parts factory statements
• Ensure proper input of all accounting data to prepare a monthly financial statement
• Post car deals to accounting
• Post factory warranty credits
• Oversee funding of car deals to ensure timely and accurate funding
• Coordinate and prepare month-end reconciliations for all accounts and year-end physical inventories.
• Accounting schedule clean-up
• Hands-on accounting position where you will be posting day-to-day transactions
• All aspects of the automotive accounting office
• Assist controller with special request

Requirements/Skills

• Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel, Word, and Outlook)
• Knowledge of CDK Drive DMS experience is a plus!
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills in fast-paced environment
• Proven experience and good understanding of all functions in the accounting office of an automobile dealership is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
