Stateline is seeking an Automotive Pre-Owned Vehicle Acquisition and Sales Manager to join our team in Fort Mill, SC. (Just outside of Charlotte, NC) You will be responsible for acquisition, merchandising, negotiating, closing, training, development of the team all while fostering a great team environment. We are looking for a true leader who aspires to be a champion for the sales people, hold them accountable to processes and performance expectations, and serves to support the vision of the General Sales Manager and General Manager. We want a high-performing, high-energy individual that fully understands what it takes to increase used car volume and profitability. You MUST have a solid foundation and understanding of the Used Car business and previous leadership experience in that role to be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Use provided software to analyze market conditions and develop a pricing strategy that increases turn and profitability.
-Understand how to properly review condition reports and bids according to projected reconditioning costs.
- Stay updated on market trends and demand for different types of vehicles and adjust acquisition strategy accordingly
- Manage inventory levels and ensure a diverse selection of vehicles for customers to choose from
- Work closely with the sales team to understand customer needs and preferences and acquire vehicles accordingly
- Oversee the reconditioning of used vehicles to ensure they meet dealership standards and are ready for sale
- Monitor and track vehicle acquisition expenses and report on budget variances to management
- Schedules shipping for all vehicle acquisitions
- Inspects and accepts vehicles arriving on site, comparing to condition reports
- Create and execute reconditioning process to stay within the 72 hour guideline set by management
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Proven experience in automotive sales, with strong negotiation and communication skills
- Knowledge of market trends and demand for different makes and models of vehicles
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
