A key member of the SOLiD Sales and Business Development team, the National Account Executive (NAE) is a hunter and client development executive.  The person thrives in a “sell to” as opposed to a “sell through” environment. This position is critical to the company's success as our customers expect an exceptional level of business acumen, technical expertise and product support associated with delivering our solutions. The NAE should excel in a solutions-selling environment, collaborate well in an inter-dependent team culture, demonstrate an ability to build meaningful business relationships, identify opportunities and develop those opportunities into revenue.  For the purposes of customer access, the NAE may be designated as a National Account Director (NAD) in customer-facing materials (business cards, email signature, etc.).

Reporting to the Sr. Director, US Regional Sales, the NAE must be self-motivated with a semi-technical background, preferably in the telecom field. The NAE will be comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly changing customer base, possess a "can-do" attitude, and take initiative. He/she works with SOLiD’s Regional Sales, Business Development, Marketing, Product Management and Operations departments, along with senior leadership to facilitate growth, meet business and financial targets, and ensure brand and reputation stability. 

Qualifications

  • Desire and willingness to travel regularly, as needed, to establish and expand client relationships
  • Minimum 5+ years experience
    • calling directly on large, Fortune 500, national enterprise accounts
    • meeting directly with technology decision makers and stakeholders at Director, VP or C-suite levels
    • working in Sales or Solutions team at Mobile Network Operator, Service Provider or RAN Equipment Manufacturer
    • selling complex multi-million dollar solutions or professional services with long sales cycles
  • Vertical channel expertise or experience in at least one of the following segments will be given priority: healthcare, sports & entertainment, transportation, finance, higher education, hospitality, retail, manufacturing, data center, or commercial real estate
  • Consultative sales background preferred
  • Experience with Private Wireless Networks, Neutral Host Network solutions, WiFi and DAS
  • Existing rolodex of enterprise client relationships will be given highest priority

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed assigned sales/revenue quota by sourcing, developing, and closing project opportunities, with a focus on winning net-new business.
  • Lead sales, development and management of large enterprise clients at the national level. 
  • Communicate travel and meeting plans in advance, and report findings via CRM and trip reports
  • Lead any assigned national client accounts
  • Communicate and plan with the Solutions Engineering (SE) team to effectively manage opportunities and maximize customer visibility to SOLiD
  • Daily use of NetSuite quote and funnel management for purposes of sales forecasting and reporting, and inventory/materials planning
  • Daily use of CRM for customer, account and opportunity management
  • Understand and deliver light technical product information, with comfort presenting to and interacting with Enterprise client decision makers and influencers.
  • Proficient and comfortable conducting frequent and regular customer updates and meeting face-to-face and virtually via Teams, Zoom, etc.
  • Act as team lead for RFx response and turnkey proposal development on all assigned or sourced accounts, including writing narratives & general business responses in proposals, coordinating team calls to include other department stakeholders, and setting and managing margins on third party equipment and professional services for turnkey project proposals
  • Manage travel expenses within a budget to maximize customer touches within the territory
